Amman, February 25 (Petra)- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Tuesday took part in the 2nd meeting of the Stockholm Initiative on Nuclear Disarmament, which was attended by foreign ministers and representatives of sixteen member nations.
During the meeting, Safadi stressed Jordan’s position in support of international efforts to curb nuclear proliferation.
He underlined the need to continue working to ensure a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction.
The meeting aimed at discussing the progress member states made in building on the outputs of the first meeting, which was held in the Swedish capital Stockholm last year.
It also aimed at making preparations for the Review Conference for the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in April.
