Berlin, February 24 (Petra)- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, will hold talks tomorrow, Tuesday, with his German counterpart, Heiko Maas, on the prospects of bolstering bilateral cooperation, and regional developments.
Safadi is participating in the second Stockholm Ministerial Meeting on Nuclear Disarmament and the Non-Proliferation Treaty, to be held on Tuesday, in the presence of foreign ministers and representatives of 16 countries that are members of the initiative.
The foreign minister will meet on the sidelines of the meeting, Swedish Foreign Minister, Anna Lindh, in a meeting that will figure high on joint efforts to drum up support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and bilateral relations, and will hold talks with South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha.
Safadi started his visit to Germany by participating in a dialogue session organized by the German K?rber Foundation, in the presence of a group of diplomats, officials, academics, researchers and economists in Germany.
In the session, Safadi highlighted the Kingdom’s policies regarding regional developments, especially those related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Syria, the war on terror and the Kingdom’s efforts to resolve regional crises and achieve a just and comprehensive peace acceptable to the peoples.
The attendees were also briefed about the economic reforms that Jordan has adopted to improve economic performance and withstand the consequences of regional crises, chief of which is the ramifications of the Syrian refugee crisis.
