Luxembourg is one of the Benelux countries, located in western Europe between Germany, France and Belgium. It is one of the smallest countries in Europe. The Duchy was established after the Paris Convention of 1815 and gained independence in 1839.

Political System

A constitutional Duchy is representative of a democratic parliament. According to the constitution of 1868, the Grand Duke is the Head of State. The legislative power is vested in the 60-member parliament. Its members are elected every five years. The Council of State consists of 21 members appointed by the Duke, which consists of 13 ministers.

Bilateral Relations between Jordan and Luxembourg and official visits:

Diplomatic relations were established between the two countries in 1980, and the Jordanian Ambassador to Brussels is an accredited Non-Resident Ambassador to Luxembourg. Jordan has an Honorary Consulate in the Duchy, and according to the information available at the Embassy, the number of Jordanians in Luxembourg does not exceed ten people.

Political relations between the two countries can be described as distinctive, based on mutual respect
