Ms. Saja MAJALI
Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to
Belgium, the European Union and NATO

During her diplomatic career, Ambassador Majali has served as the President of the 107th Session of the International Labour Conference Geneva (ILC) in 2018, Vice-Chairperson to the 106th Session of the ILC in 2017, Chairperson of the Selection Committee at the 104th Session of the ILC in 2015, Rapporteur in 2015 of the 32nd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, and Vice-Chairperson of the 2005 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

Ambassador Majali chaired the Asian WTO Ambassadors Group from October 2014 to April 2016, the WTO Arab Ambassadors Group from October 2015 to December 2016, and the Council of Arab Ambassadors in 2018. She represented Jordan as member of the Senior Officials Committee dealing with disarmament at the League of Arab States from 2011 to 2014, as well as in numerous other national, regional and international meetings, including OIC and NAM meetings. She was also a member of the Geneva Ambassadorial Board of the Independent Commission on Multilateralism (ICM).

At the national level, Ambassador Majali was a member of the Committee on Countering Violet Extremism/Prime Ministry from October 2019 to October 2020. From 2011 to 2014, she was a member of and headed several national committees, including the National Disarmament and Arms Control Committee, the Sanctions Committee, the National Committee for Banning Chemical Weapons, and the Humanitarian Assistance committee at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
